2 Dead, 8 Injured in Big Accident on Spring Mountain

Metro's Fatal Accident Detail is investigating an accident that happened Friday night involving three cars near Spring Mountain and Fort Apache. Two people died and eight others were injured.

Witnesses say a car occupied by four teenagers ran a stop sign and was hit by another car. Five people were in that vehicle and two of them died. A third car was also struck in the accident.

Emergency workers called at least four ambulances and one helicopter to transport the injured to area hospitals. Police officers closed Spring Mountain from El Capitan to Fort Apache to investigate.
