BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - City health officials say they will close an elementary school after discovering that a student has a probable case of swine flu.
The Berkeley Public Health Division reports that a probable case of the H1N1 flu virus was identified in a student at Malcolm X Elementary school, and that student's parent.
Classes at Malcolm X will be closed for at least seven days, and up to two weeks.
It is Alameda County's first suspected case of swine flu.
