Harry Neth -- Courtesy Pahrump Valley TimesA former Nye County Commissioner is under arrest and charged with securities fraud and embezzlement.
Authorities say Harry Neth and his partner Eric Frye collected payments for land sales, claiming the investor would receive a return of more than 123-percent. Instead, Neth and Frye are accused of using the money for their own use, including buying land.
The Secretary of State's Office says the case should serve as a reminder that deals that sound that good are usually scams.
