Las Vegas NowGov. Gibbons Visits Nevada Troops in Iraq
Gov. Jim Gibbons visited over the weekend with Nevada troops serving in the Basra region of Iraq. Gibbons is touring the region with the Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon.
In a news release, Gibbons says he wants to gauge the morale of troops from his home state and address their questions and concerns.
He says he's proud of the job the soldiers are doing, and adds that Nevada needs to take care of them when they return home.
