Las Vegas NowICE Crackdown Nets 29 Arrests
A three-day operation has resulted in the arrest of 29 gang members and associates. The arrests were part of an ongoing initiative called Operation Community Shield.
Some of the suspects are facing federal charges for re-entry after deportation while others are foreign nationals now facing deportation.
Among those arrested is a Salvadorian national with ties to the MS-13 gang. The crackdown involved a number of agencies including Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents and Metro and Mesquite Police.
