Las Vegas NowBody Found in the Trunk of a Car
A body has been found in the trunk of a car in the middle of a busy Wal-Mart parking lot on Eastern near Patrick. The body was found around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
A security officer at the shopping center got suspicious about a parked Ford Taurus after noticing it had been at the lot for almost a month. A closer look inside the car made for a grisly discovery. The car's backseat was folded down, allowing officers to see human remains in the trunk.
The car is connected to a Las Vegas woman reported missing by family members last month.
Detectives have already examined surveillance video from the parking lot, hoping it may shed light on the mystery. For now, officers aren't ruling anything out and trying to piece together the final moments of this person's life.
