Las Vegas NowCoroner Completes Autopsy on Body in Trunk
The Clark County Coroner has determined that it was a woman whose body was found in the trunk of a car in a busy Wal-Mart parking lot.
A security officer at the shopping center got suspicious about a parked Ford Taurus after noticing it had been at the lot for almost a month and there was a foul odor coming from the vehicle. Investigators discovered the woman's remains in the trunk along with some of her personal possessions.
The car is connected to a Las Vegas woman reported missing by family members last month. A positive identification of the body is still pending.
