The food permit for a North Las Vegas nursing was briefly pulled after an inspection uncovered violations.
Problems were identified at the Mission Pines Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on E. Cheyenne which is licensed to care for 240 people. Among the issues, was a large hole in the ceiling that could allow contaminated water into the facility, contaminated food contact surfaces, improperly stored meats and a malfunctioning dishwasher.
The facility did make quick repairs and the food permit was reinstated. During the repair period, residents were served meals from a restaurant.
