
Gasoline prices in Nevada climbed 4 cents from a month ago to a statewide average of $2.79 a gallon.
That's according to the monthly price survey released by AAA Nevada.
Nationally, prices dropped 6 cents to $2.58.
Around Nevada, the largest increase was seen in Elko, where the price of a gallon of self-serve unleaded jumped 15 cents from August to $2.84.
In Las Vegas, AAA says prices rose 2 cents to $2.72.
The average price in Reno increased 6 cents to $2.90, the highest in the state.
AAA says Nevada prices are the sixth highest in the continental United States.
