False Amber Alert Text Circulating Henderson Area

Updated:

A text message circulating that claims a 3-year-old boy was taken from Anthem Hills Park in Henderson has turned out to be false.

According to the Henderson Police Department, there was no Amber Alert issued and no reports of any abducted child or missing child from Anthem Hills Park or any where else in Henderson. They did say they had received several calls about the text message which was spreading around the area late Saturday morning, but reinforced that there was no truth to this message.

The text message reported a Amber Alert claiming that a young boy was taken from the park in a Mitsubishi Eclipse. The text even went as far as to mention the license plate of the car which allegedly the child was supposed to be in.

It is unknown at this time where the text message originated from.
