LAS VEGAS, Nv -- Country superstar Garth Brooks announced Thursday that he's coming out of retirement to perform in Las Vegas.

Steve Wynn has gone country, announcing that he has signed Garth Brooks to a five year agreement to perform three nights a week. Brooks retired in 2000 to spend more time with family. Brooks is expected to perform in the Wynn Encore Theatre, which has been empty since the death of Danny Gans.

"Steve Wynn has done what I thought was impossible.  He has given me a chance to sing again for the people, while at the same time never missing a day with my children," says Brooks.  He will perform on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

They would not say how much Wynn spent to get Brooks to agree to the deal, just that there were many perks in the contract. "In order to accomplish this goal, I will confess I had to buy him jet plane," said Wynn.

Brooks has not toured in 11 years. He retired from music to spend time with his kids. The plane allows him to drive his three daughters to school every weekday morning and make one show Friday night, two shows on Saturday, and one show on Sunday.

Brooks will then be home to tuck his kids into bed Sunday night. "I told him he could not afford me. I was wrong," said Brooks.

As they made the announcement, posters went up around the casino. The first concert will be December 11, 2009. "I want the people who come here to leave with something special. So each night cannot be scripted. It just cannot," he said.

During his official announcement, Brooks said he will begin his five year contract on Dec. 11th. Ticket prices will start at $125. Tickets go on sale October 24, 2009.
