3 Brothers Injured in Stabbing Near Rancho High School

Updated:

North Las Vegas Police are investigating a stabbing that injured three teens. It happened about two blocks from Rancho High School Thursday afternoon.

The incident started with an on-going feud at Rancho High School that carried off-campus. Three teens, all brothers, were rushed to the hospital after this act of violence.

Police say the boys got into a fight with another group of kids as they were walking near Civic Center and Webb. A family member realized they were hurt, put them in the truck, and started driving them to the hospital. They stopped at Owens and 23rd and that's the scene police are investigating.

Authorities say a 16-year-old was stabbed, a 14-year-old hit with some type of object, maybe a baseball bat, and an 18-year-old was also injured. Police say all are expected to survive.

"If you're child is having any kind of altercation or a disagreement with someone at school, and you're worried for their safety, the first and foremost notify the school. There are measures they have in place. At that point, if things progress or get violent, certainly get the police department involved. Let the police know what's going on," said North Las Vegas Police Officer Chrissie Coon.

Police have suspect information, but they are not releasing it because they have a pretty good idea what group of kids may be responsible. The incident did not take place at Rancho High. Police say the fight started brewing there.
