North Las Vegas, Nv -- Elaine Clermont has been found guilty on kidnapping charges after she took a young boy to prove a point.

Clermont was trying to prove lapses in safety at a North Las Vegas elementary school in 2008. She took a 6-year-old boy from near Jo Mackey Elementary School in an attempt to show the Clark County School Board of Trustees how easy it would be to kidnap a child.

The child was unharmed.

Jurors returned a verdict on Friday finding Clermont guilty of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and false imprisonment. She will be sentenced on Jan. 7, 2010. Her bail is set at $10,000.
