Las Vegas NowClark County Schools get $18M in Donations
The Clark County School District says it received $18 million in donations during the last school year from individuals and businesses.
The district says more than 700 businesses and organizations contributed money, topped by casino operator MGM Mirage. The Las Vegas-based company gave $700,000 in money and services.
School officials say they plan to thank donors at a recognition event on Monday at the Monte Carlo casino-resort on the Las Vegas Strip.
