Sue LowdenNevada Republicans who supported Ron Paul in last year's presidential contest have formed a political action committee to oppose the U.S. Senate bid of former state party chairwoman Sue Lowden.
Robert Holloday, a spokeswoman for the Fair Nevada Elections PAC, says Lowden's handling of last year's state convention, when delegate selections were halted, amounted to betrayal.
Nevada's 2008 delegation dispute began when Ron Paul supporters were poised to win delegates at the state party convention in Reno.
Lowden spokesman Robert Uithoven says convention problems were not limited to Republicans. He says Lowden was accommodating to Paul supporters, and hopes to earn their support in next year's election.
Sue Lowden is a former employee of Channel 8.
