A search warrant was served at this home on Torrey Pines near Washington.Police moved in early Wednesday morning on six Hells Angels Motorcycle Club locations. The raids come as a result of two investigations into the club.
SWAT showed up to a home on Torrey Pines and Washington early Wednesday morning. Officers charged into the clubhouse -- one of six valley locations searched.
One aspect of the investigation has to do with a brawl at a Las Vegas wedding chapel where two people were stabbed. Two weddings were booked at the same time and that led to violence.
Nearly a year later, neighbors were jolted as officers searched for new evidence in that case. “I was sleeping and the flash bangs went off and rolled us out of bed from 10 houses and three blocks away. It was unbelievable,” said neighbor Jason Whitney.
Chopper 8 hovered above the action as police stormed in. Officers broke through a window earlier and also knocked down a garage door.
Police say they were looking for specific items, including business records.
Metro declined to talk about the case, but neighbors did talk, saying the motorcycle gang kept to themselves. “You know the history of Hell's Angels -- that some of them are involved in some shading dealings. But you know, as long as they don't mess with me or my family, I'm fine with that,” said neighbor Melanie Lassen.
No arrests were made. Authorities did not unseal the search warrant, so it’s unknown what they were looking for.
