2 More Suspects Charged in the Murder of a Metro Officer

LAS VEGAS, Nv -- Two more suspects have been charged in connection with the murder of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer Trevor Nettleton.

North Las Vegas Police booked 18-year-old Quadrae Scott and 18-year-old Emmitt Ferguson into the North Las Vegas Detention Center Sunday night on charges related to the murder of Officer Nettleton early Thursday morning.

Scott has been charged with one count each of Murder with a Deadly Weapon with a Gang Enhancement, Attempted Robbery with a Deadly Weapon with a Gang Enhancement and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

Ferguson has been charged with one count of Accessory to Murder after the Fact.

Also Detectives believe they may have recovered the weapon that was used to fatally wound Officer Nettleton but are awaiting confirmation from ballistics testing.

North Las Vegas Police have already arrested 18-year-old Prentice Marshall, 20-year-old Saul Williams, and a 17-year-old. All who are facing murder and robbery charges. Police have also added gang enhancement charges. Police say all three have documented gang activity in their past.

The 30-year-old officer was gunned down at his home early Thursday morning. Investigators say the suspects ambushed Nettleton in the open garage of his home near Bruce and Lone Mountain as he returned home from work. His wife, young son and newborn daughter were asleep inside the home.

Officer Trevor Nettleton's funeral will take place Wednesday, November 25th, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive in Las Vegas.
