(Oct. 5) -- Before Kirk Henry ended up on a stretcher in front of the club, he came to Las Vegas on business. Around 7 a.m. on Sept. 20, Henry went looking for pleasure at the Crazy Horse Too gentleman's club. He went in walking and left paralyzed.
How did it happen?
"Basically, we're getting two sides to the story, and it's our job to try to figure out where the two ends meet," said Lt. John Alamshaw with the Metro Police Department. Police spent a couple of hours Thursday interviewing employees and searching the club for evidence.
Henry is now in a Missouri hospital and has since filed a lawsuit. The 43-year-old father of two says as he was leaving the club, a dancer told him he owed her $80 and a tip for a dance he'd received. Henry says when he disputed the amount, a bouncer grabbed him, twisted his neck and forced him violently to the ground.
"It just doesn't make sense," responded Albert Rapuano, general manager of the Crazy Horse Too. Rapuano says no employee laid their hands on Henry, and as for the so-called dispute about a tip and a tab: "He paid probably two hours before he left the club," Rapuano said, suggesting that Henry couldn't have been confronted by employees as he left because his bill was already paid.
Henry's attorney had this to say about the club's claim it played no part in Henry's injuries. "Then can you explain to me how it is that my client goes into their establishment and ends up being a quadriplegic?" asked defense attorney Don Campbell.
A court and possibly a jury will have to answer that. Henry's attorney says he has a witness who supports Henry's story. He wouldn't reveal that person's identity. Because of his injuries, Henry may no longer have the use of his arms or his legs.
