Congressman Jim Gibbons is again denying that he assaulted a Las Vegas woman after a night of drinking last Friday that ended in three calls to 911.
At a news conference in Las Vegas Thursday afternoon, Gibbons appeared with his wife and said he acted like an, quote, "officer and a gentleman" and did nothing inappropriate.

Thirty-two-year-old Chrissy Mazzeo says the congressman grabbed her shoulders, pushed her up against a wall and propositioned her in a parking garage. Mazzeo called police afterward, but decided the next day not to press charges.
In a police report, Mazzeo says the incident took place last Friday night at McCormick & Schmick's restaurant where she and Gibbons sat at the same table and had some drinks.
Gibbons, a Republican who's running for Nevada governor, denies her account. The 61-year-old says he walked Mazzeo to her car and helped her catch her balance after she stumbled.

Gibbons told reporters that he did nothing inappropriate and that his lawyer had advised him not to speculate why Mazzeo would make such an allegation.
Mazzeo is a single mom. She is referring all questions to lawyer.
