Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of prominent Las Vegan businessman, John Herda.

Thursday, 38-year-old Bryan Wayne Crawley was charged more than four months after Herda was found dead in his home. Crawley was already in custody for an armed robbery in November.

The 83-year-old Herda was murdered in August. He had been shot several times and his house was ransacked.

Police say Crawley traveled to Mexico after the murder for treatment of a gunshot wound.

A longtime resident, John Herda founded Herda's Discount Appliances in Las Vegas in 1978.
