
Raul Jacquez was wanted in Mexico for an alleged slaying.
Jarmain Doubs was wanted for attempted homicide and other charges.Sex offenders and gang members are among the 201 fugitives arrested in Las Vegas during Operation FALCON 2007.
Multiple state and local law enforcement agencies worked with the U.S. Marshals Service during the five-day operation last week. Their focus was to capture individuals wanted on felony charges.
One of the arrested was Raul Jacquez, who was wanted in Mexico for the 2005 alleged slaying of his mother-in-law. He has a long criminal history in the U.S. which includes arrests for narcotics, burglary, weapons offenses and immigration violations. Jacquez was arrested while he was working out at a local health club.
Jarmaine Doubs was also arrested. He was wanted for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, kidnapping and terrorist threats.
There were 201 arrests, including 17 sex offenders and 27 gang members. They also confiscated 11 guns, 1.3 pounds of methamphetamine and more than $7,000.
"This operation is a clear indication of how effective law enforcement can be apprehending local, federal and foreign fugitives when we combine our resources toward a shared purpose," said U.S. Marshal Gary Orten, Nevada.
Nationwide, Operation FALCON 2007 has netted more than 4,000 arrests.
