The top Democratic presidential candidates are looking for support here in the Las Vegas valley. Their efforts come just one day after Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards debated the issues at Cashman Center. They talked about everything from our economy to the war in Iraq.

Obama spoke for about 30 minutes to get support leading up to the caucus. Obama continues to push his personality and fight critics who say experience matters more than change.

It was another jam-packed room of rowdy Obama supporters Wednesday was about making the case for who Obama is, not just his positions. The half hour speech focused on health care, education and the environment. But the Senator scored the most points when he used charm and personality to distance himself from the Clinton critique of inexperience.

While the Illinois Senator is only three years removed from being a state lawmaker, voters do not seem to mind. They connect to him on a different level instead of Hillary Clinton.

"I think what Barack has is the ability to make you want to believe in him and you know what he stands for is something that everybody stands for. He wants to make people happy and give them what they want," said Obama supporter Shannon Fagan.

Monday, Hillary Clinton tackled an issue she has been outspoken on from the beginning of her campaign. Clinton says she will end the Yucca Mountain project.

At UNLV, Clinton assembled experts in various fields from nuclear science to conservation to transportation. All of the experts thought shipping nuclear waste to one spot, 90 miles north of Las Vegas was a bad idea for different reasons.

Even with this information, Senator Clinton says she opposes Yucca Mountain as a site, but does not oppose a repository altogether.

"There were two other sites. They were ruled cut for political reasons not scientific reasons. As a panelist point out, there may be scientifically sound sites that local communities would accept because the science would be strong enough to make it clear it would be safe," she said.

And John Edwards was all over town Wednesday. He's the only one of the top three who hasn't yet won a state. Wednesday night he not only talked to unions, and veterans, but to everyday Las Vegans about his plan to reverse the downward economic spiral.

"We need someone with the testicular fortitude to go out there and tell big business that hey this is not the way it's going to be anymore," said union member Donald Hayzlett.

And before hundreds of union workers and supporters, John Edwards vowed to get healthcare for every American.

"How long are we going to let drug companies and insurance companies decide who is going to get health care in America," he said.

Looking towards the voters here for his first primary win, John Edwards worked to inspire this crowd and as the caucus draws closer many here are falling behind him.
