Judge Elizabeth Halverson (KLAS-TV file photo)Nevada's Judicial Discipline Commission is being asked to stop suspended Clark County Judge Elizabeth Halverson from calling witnesses or introducing evidence at her disciplinary hearing next week.
In new documents, prosecutors accuse Halverson of trying to make a "laughing stock" of the case. The disciplinary hearing is supposed to begin Monday.
Halverson is acting as her own attorney after her lawyers withdrew from the case. She hasn't named witnesses she intends to call, provided advance materials or submitted to a court ordered health evaluation.
Halverson is facing removal from the bench for allegations of judicial misconduct including falling asleep during trials, mistreating staff members and illegally communicating with jurors.
