Deceased Woman's Family Looking for Help

Updated:

The family of a local woman found dead near Lee Canyon is pleading for anyone to come forward with information that may help them understand what happened.

"So just if anybody heard anything, seen anything, even if they looked just a little bit suspicious or anything to do with her on that Tuesday, if they could just please. My mom is taking it really hard, that was my mom's first born," said sister Sherri Payton.

Payton says she last heard from her sister, 29-year-old Brandi Payton, last Tuesday. She says Brandi went to pay her rent and never came home. Payton says Brandi was found dead near Lee Canyon this weekend.

"It's such a shock. You would never think that my sister would be missing and that I would have to go look for her and then she's found in the desert," said Payton.

An ATV rider found the body. The family says her rental car is also missing. It's a beige Hyundai Senata with license plate number NW4UZS.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
