Safe Nest recommends that any person involved in a violent relationship have an emergency plan. The plan should include:

  • An escape route
  • A way to call 911
  • Teaching the children to dial the police
  • A bag packed with clothes, money, spare keys and ID that is kept in a safe place or with friend
  • A safe, secret place to go
  • A list of important phone numbers; such as police, shelters, counselors, relatives or friends

The Victims Services Detail is located at 3010 W. Charleston, Suite 120, Las Vegas, Nevada 89102. The telephone number is (702) 229-2955. The Victim Services Detail helps victims of all crime categories through the criminal justice process, serves as a liaison between victims and detectives during investigations, provides information on investigations, and helps victims to obtain needed community services. The detail aids victims of domestic violence in applying for Protective Orders, court accompaniment, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
