
Wet weather is expected to continue today in the Las Vegas area and off and on throughout the week as storm fronts move across Southern Nevada.
Snow is falling at the 4,000 foot level and more is expected through the day. Tuesday morning there could be snow flurries along the western edge of the valley near the 215 Beltway.
There was record rainfall on Saturday at McCarran International Airport and some parts of the valley received as much as one inch, which is well above normal for February.
State Route 160 was closed this morning between Las Vegas and Pahrump due to weather and could close again tonight if there is snow and reduced visibility.
Drivers heading up to Mt. Charleston will be required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle or snow chains beginning at the snow line. The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort received 36 inches of snow over the weekend.
