A California man is in custody in Las Vegas, accused of faking his own death. John Sung Park was arrested at the MGM Grand.

Park is facing several charges, including accusations that he was cheating at a Las Vegas poker game.

Back in September, Park disappeared while diving with friends off the coast of Laguna Beach. Rescuers searched the area but found no trace of him.

When Park is returned to California he may have to pay for the search and rescue efforts.

Police started to suspect that Park had faked his death after several odd facts about his disappearance emerged. They believe he faked his death to evade drug charges.
