It has been a deadly week for motorcyclists. The latest fatal accident involved a motorcyclist who slammed into a CAT bus Thursday morning.
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. at Pecos and Desert Inn. Police say the motorcyclist was heading eastbound on Desert Inn when he failed to see that traffic had stopped. The motorcyclist did apply his brakes but ended up sliding into the bus and another car.
"I heard the plastic hit the ground because I know the sound. When I heard the crunching and crumbling, that's when I saw the back wheels were right on top of him," said John Perry who witnessed the accident.
Metro Detective Bill Redfarin says the motorcyclist was at fault because he was going faster than the posted speed limit.
This is the fourth fatal motorcycle accident in as many days. Metro is urging motorcyclists and drivers to be extra careful of each other.
