LAS VEGAS, Nv. -- Police in Las Vegas say they arrested a fugitive in a 2004 nightclub slaying in Oakland, Calif.
Police Sgt. Dave Stansbury said Friday that 28-year-old Jetsae Martinez was arrested Wednesday outside a home in North Las Vegas by members of a police and FBI criminal apprehension team.
Stansbury says Martinez had been living in southern Nevada for several years under an assumed name, and worked for a home remodeling contractor.
Jail records show Martinez is due for an extradition hearing Monday in Clark County District Court. Authorities in Oakland allege Martinez retrieved a handgun from a vehicle and shot a man in the head in 2004 after an argument in a nightclub.
