Michael Stevens joined the 8 News NOW team in December 2014 as a general assignment reporter. Before landing in Las Vegas, Stevens served as an anchor and reporter for the NBC affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin.

During his time in Madison, he covered various high-profile stories including the recall of Governor Scott Walker and the extreme winter weather that crippled much of the region in 2013.

Stevens, a Chicago native, graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.

Stevens gained his first broadcasting experience in college as an on-air correspondent for the Emmy Award winning show Prime Time Chicago. He was a key member of the Comcast series participating in events all around the Windy City.

Before moving to television, Stevens worked as an on-air personality for WXSS 103.7 KISSFM in Milwaukee. Known for his enthusiasm, Stevens work focused on bringing new ideas to the news industry.

Michael is a life-long hockey player and Chicago Blackhawks fan. When he's not working, you can catch him supporting his favorite team.
