1 arrested in North Las Vegas road rage shooting

North Las Vegas, NV. - North Las Vegas Police have arrested a man in connection to a road rage shooting Wednesday afternoon, near Revere Street and Colton Avenue.

Officers identified and arrested 18-year-old David Rosengrant-Munoz, who is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, and attempted murder with a deadly weapon.

Around 1:50 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Cheyenne Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard (MLK) in regard to a crash between two vehicles, a Honda 4-door sedan and a BMW 2-door coupe, no injuries were reported.

Police say both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Cheyenne Avenue, approaching MLK, when the driver of the Honda rear ended the BMW. The driver of the BMW, identified as Rosengrant-Munoz, exited the car and made threatening advances toward the driver of the Honda holding a gun.

Witnesses tell police the 24-year-old driver of the Honda became afraid for his life and fled the scene.  

Rosengrant allegedly followed the Honda to the area of Revere Street and Colton Avenue where the two men exited their vehicles and exchanged gunfire.  Rosengrant was struck multiple times and was later transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The 24-year-old driver of the Honda was not injured.
