80-year-old woman killed in pedestration crash

LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas Metro Police Department says an 80-year-old woman died after a driver hit her Tuesday night in the west part of the valley.

It happened shortly before 10 p.m. Charleston Boulevard and Cimarron Road.

Police say the 26-year-old driver was in a 2004 Chrysler, going east on Charleston when she hit the 80 year old. Officers say the woman was riding her motorized wheelchair in a crosswalk and was ejected from it when she was hit.

The elderly woman was then rushed to UMC Trauma Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
