Metro police say they caught the driver of Friday night's deadly hit and run collision which happened on S. Rancho Drive south of W. Glen Heather Way.

Police arrested 43-year-old Elaine Price for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a collision.

According to investigators, Price struck the 52-year-old male pedestrian with a 1997 Acura RL around 9:50 p.m.

First responders rushed the man to University Medical Center Trauma where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police tracked down Price after she fled the scene and determined she was impaired.

The pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision, according to witnesses on the scene.
