14 adults, 13 children displace in apartment fire

LAS VEGAS - A Sunday morning fire at an apartment complex displaced 27 people.

The fire happened around 9:45 a.m. in the area of Cheyenne Avenue and Civic Center Drive. 

The fire started in a kitchen and spread through the walls from the first floor to the second floor, according to the North Las Vegas Fire Department. Four apartments were damaged.

The American Red Cross is assisting the 14 adults and 13 children displaced. No injuries were reported.
