2 arrested 1 week after Las Vegas man's stabbing death

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities say they've arrested two suspects about a week after a 25-year-old Las Vegas man was stabbed to death.

Las Vegas police say they arrested 22-year-old Jerry Holman and 23-year-old Mariah Whitemagpie on Monday. They've been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Police believe the two were involved in an argument, fight and stabbing Aug. 17 on East Karen Avenue. Las Vegas resident Nigel Hewitt died of multiple stab wounds after the confrontation.

Police say they were looking for three people in connection with the crime. They say they found the third person but have not filed charges against him.
