LAS VEGAS -- Two phone calls demanding ransom in return for the safe return of a Henderson teenager have been made to the parents of the missing girl, according to an Amber Alert update.
Melissa Duran, 17, was abducted from her home Friday morning by two men after they knocked on her home's front door and she answered, according to Henderson Police.
The men knocked on the door about 7:30 a.m. Her home is southeast of Warm Springs Road and Valle Verde Drive.
Melissa was wearing white pants with black stripes and a yellow blouse at the time of her kidnapping, police said.
The demands for ransom was later made in phone calls to Melissa's parents, according to police.
The men drove away from the area in a late model red two-door passenger car with a blue fender on the front passenger side.
According to the alert update, investigators are concerned that the men may have fled to southern Utah, northern Arizona or southern California.
Henderson police officers are following up on leads and have put out an Amber Alert in an effort to find the girl.
Melissa is described as a Hispanic female teen, 5-foot-4 inches tall, weighing around 125 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes.
A neighbor's surveillance camera captured video of the men's car driving past the house.
Anyone who sees the girl or the men's car is asked to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information regarding the missing teen is urged to call the Henderson Police Department at 702-267-4913 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
