Accused Child Killer Charged with Assault in 1994

LAS VEGAS -- Accused child killer Brenda Stokes has been in trouble with the law in the past.

Court records show she was accused of attacking a man in Mississippi with a razor blade. A grand jury indicted Stokes, also known as Brenda Stokes Wilson, for aggravated assault in 1994. A razor blade was listed as the weapon.

In December of 1995, the charge was dropped. According to Mississippi news sources, the man she was accused of attacking failed to testify against her or press charges.

Stokes is charged with murder and kidnapping in the stabbing death of 10-year-old Jade Morris. Stokes was a former girlfriend of Morris' father. Stokes is also accused of attacking and cutting a co-worker at the Bellagio with razor blades on the same day Jade Morris was last seen alive.
