Pedro Garcia, the man accused of shooting and killing a customer in Starbucks, made his first court appearance Wednesday morning in Las Vegas Justice Court.
Garcia, 34, is facing charges of murder, robbery, burglary and discharging a firearm in an occupied structure.
His attorney, Edward Kane, says he expects his client will enter a not guilty plea.
The judge did not set bail in the case and Garcia did not enter a plea Wednesday.
Kane asked for more time to confirm whether his office can represent Garcia in the case. Garcia is expected to appear in court again on Friday, Sept. 30.
