Angle: Muslim Law Taking Hold in Parts of US

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle says Muslim terrorists are taking hold in some communities in the United States.

Angle said the country faces a "militant terrorist situation" during a tea party rally last week in Mesquite, Nev., after she was asked about Muslims angling to take over the United States.

In a recording of the rally provided to The Associated Press by the Mesquite Local News, a man is heard telling Angle that Muslims want "to take over the United States" and "seem to be getting their way."

In response, Angle says "we're talking about a militant terrorist situation," and singles out Dearborn, Mich., home to a thriving Muslim community. She says it is wrong to allow Islamic law to take hold in any community in the United States.
