Police take suspect involved in barricade situation into custody

LAS VEGAS - Police took a suspect involved in a barricade situation near Las Vegas Boulevard and Pebble Road into custody around 10 a.m. after a standoff that lasted more than three hours.

Metro Police and SWAT were called to the Loft 5 apartment complex in the 2800 block of Pebble Road around 6:30 a.m. a welfare check on the person in an apartment. Shortly after that call, they received several calls from residents who reported hearing gunshots coming from the apartment.

Police said the suspect was acting erratically and seen on his balcony with a gun.

The SWAT team was able to take the suspect into custody with no reported injuries. 

Police said the man was booked into Clark County Detention Center and does face several charges for his actions.
