Arrest made in Geisha House shooting

LAS VEGAS -- Police have arrested the man they say is responsible for a double shooting in the parking lot of the Geisha House that left one woman dead and another injured.

Metro Police took Carim Cruz, 27, into custody Thursday. He faces nine charges including murder, attempted murder, battery and assault. Deanna Serano, 33, was killed in the shooting.

According to the arrest report, Cruz got into argument with Serano's boyfriend, Richard Lambey, who was part of a large group of people at the Geisha House. The argument between Cruz and Lambey spilled over into the parking lot on Saturday, Aug. 16. After the fight, Cruz got into his car and drove by the crowd and fired several shots. Two women were struck, including Serano. The other woman was wounded.
