Arrest made in Miracle Mile security guard shooting

LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas police arrested one suspect Friday in the shooting at Miracle Mile Shops that left two security guards injured.

Metro detectives took 34-year-old Jonathan Ozuna into custody in the 6400 block of West Lake Mead around 12:30 p.m.

Two guards were shot around 7:45 p.m. in the parking garage. Both were transported to Sunrise Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

According to police, the security guards were attempting to arrest the two suspects in the mall when they fled on foot and ran into the garage and fired shots at the guards. 

Ozuna is facing charges of two counts of attempted murder, burglary with a firearm, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Police say citizen tip led to his arrest.
