Bail set at $1M for Las Vegas Strip robbery suspect

LAS VEGAS -- A bail was set at $1 million Friday for Brian Rodriguez, who was indicted by a Clark County grand jury on eight counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon.

He is accused of committing at least six of those armed robberies within a 24-period, including five robberies that occurred in parking garages along the Las Vegas Strip. Prosecutors said he also spit at police officers before he was apprehended.

He is also facing charges related to extortion, resisting a public officer with use of a firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle and first degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon. He remains in custody in the Clark County Detention Center.
