Bail set for fire captain accused of sex with teen

LAS VEGAS - Bail was set at $25,000 for the Las Vegas Fire captain accused of having sex with a teen at a fire station.

Captain Richard Loughry, 46, made his initial appearance in Las Vegas Justice Court Thursday morning.

Aside from his bail, Loughry will be kept under house arrest and not be allowed any access to Internet or smartphones.

Authorities say they were led to Loughry during a sex trafficking investigation.

According to his arrest report, Loughry requested a girl from an ad on Backpage.com. The ad did list the teen's age as 22.

The girl was driven to the fire station where she met Loughry and had sex in his room. Loughry paid her $300, the report said.

He is facing charges of sexual seduction, soliciting/engaging in child prostitution and lewdness with a child.

Loughry has been with the city fire department for 20 years.
