Bail Set for Saudi Air Force Sergeant Charged with Rape

LAS VEGAS -- The bail for a Saudi Air Force Sergeant facing a child rape charge has been set at $1.2 million.

Mazen Alotaibi, 23, appeared in Las Vegas Justice Court Friday morning for his bail hearing. Prosecutors added two lewdness with a minor charges to kidnapping, sexual assault, felony coercion and burglary counts that could get Alotaibi decades in state prison.

He is accused of pulling a 13-year-old boy into his hotel room and sexually assaulting him at the Circus Circus hotel on New Year's Eve.

Defense attorney Don Chairez is alleging the boy voluntarily followed Alotaibi to his room to get marijuana in exchange for sex.
