UPDATE: Metro releases surveillance pictures of alleged Bellagio robber

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police officers investigated a robbery at the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip Tuesday. Police said the robbery happened near the poker cage in the casino area around 3:47 p.m.

Metro said the suspect, described as a white man who was armed with a hand gun and wearing a mask, approached the cashiers and demanded money.

The cashiers complied with the suspect's demands and gave him an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt.

According to officers, the suspect fled the scene in a stolen Silver Chevrolet Cruz which was later recovered.  

The suspect is said to be between the ages of 30 and 40. He's also said to be between 5-feet-7-inches and-5-feet-9-inches tall.

 

He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, blue t-shirt, jeans, a black beanie cap, and black rimmed glasses.  Police think he weighs between 160-170 pounds.

The Bellagio has been the target of thieves in the past. Eight months ago, masked burglars broke into a jewelry store and smashed the jewelry cases with sledgehammers.
