Boulder City Police Make Big Pot Bust

BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- A speeding vehicle led to a pot bust in Boulder City. Police say an officer pulled Winston Aarons over just before 4 a.m. Friday morning for speeding. When the officer asked for Aarons' driver's license and proof of insurance, he handed over ID from someone else.

He claimed the vehicle belonged to a girlfriend, but that's when the Officer noticed the vehicle had been freshly vacuumed and there were several air fresheners inside.

Once the officer got Aarons out of the vehicle to check it, the suspect bolted jumping over the wall of a Rebel gas station. Officers were able to catch up to Aarons and arrest him.

Back at the vehicle, once it was finally searched they found more than 10 pounds of marijuana inside. Aarons was booked on several charges including possession of a controlled substance.
