Boy, 11, struck by car in West Las Vegas neighborhood

LAS VEGAS - An 11-year-old boy was taken to University Medical Center after being hit by a vehicle in a west Las Vegas neighborhood Thursday morning.

According to Metro Police, the boy was hit around 8:39 a.m. at Desert Sunrise and Vista Run Drive near Charleston Avenue and the 215.

The child suffered critical injuries, police said.
