BREAKING NEWS: Flash Flood Warning Extended to 8:15 p.m., Includes Northwest

LAS VEGAS -- The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a flash flood warning for central Clark County in southern Nevada until 8:15 p.m.

At 5:16 p.m., National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated very heavy rain from a thunderstorm over northwest Las Vegas. The storm producing very heavy rain was falling over washes that have been impacted by previous flash flooding.

The weather service says debris that has built up has created conditions that will enhance flooding potential.

This warning covers a large portion of the previous warning for the Carpenter 1 burn area and extends farther east to just beyond Rainbow blvd.

Locations impacted include Mt. Charleston, Floyd Lamb Park, Kyle Canyon campground, Fletcher View campground and Centennial Hills.
