Calling all parents: CCSD offers survey to get parents' opinions on key topics

LAS VEGAS - Attention parents: CCSD needs your opinion.  Safety, academics, and school climate are among the many topics that are the focus of the 2016 Clark County School District's Parent Survey.

The 10-minute survey, available in English and Spanish, is confidential and part of the district's efforts to engage the community on important issues facing students and their families.

“With parent engagement being one of the district’s Pledge of Achievement success indicators, the annual survey continues to be an important opportunity for us to hear from and listen to what parents think about their child's school and the district as a whole,” said Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky.  "CCSD employees work hard to improve all areas of education, and it is vital that we receive feedback from parents because they are students' first teachers.”

The surveys have also been designed for students and staff. It's so CCSD can obtain a full representation of all groups that make up the school district.

Questions asked in the survey align with district goals, focus areas and strategic imperatives that will be used to help make improvements to schools and increase parent engagement.

The surveys will be available online until Thursday, June 2.  Survey results will be made available to the public this summer.
